My interest in photography is based on and focused to the research about the way, space is used by its inhabitants and users. In this use of space one can find ideas and expressions of our society, of the way we live together.
With this focus I realized a number of photographic projects: important to myself are my photographical series on Mies van der Rohes European buildings for Mies in Berlin at the Museum of Modern Art MoMA New York; my work on the relation between the inside and the outside of buildings for In the Praise of Shadows exhibited at the Architecture Biennale Metarmorph in Venice, my ongoing project Shacks , I developed as Artist in Residence at the Centro Tedesco di Studi Veneziani in Venice about self-organized common spaces and Homestories in which I show interiors of houses and dwellings abandoned by their former inhabitants.
